This place seems a bit expensive but does have unusual items for sale. They also have fabric by the yard, and the fabric price is competitive to what I saw elsewhere in Antigua (but more expensive than the Mercado Centrale in Guatemala City). There is a public restroom for pay and it is relatively clean.

Prepare your eyes and wallet, you can't leave without taking a souvenir.

This place had a ton of different crafts so you could really find pretty much any souvenir you want. The one downside I will say is that things were fairly pricey even by US standards, especially for any type of fabric or apparel. If you’re looking for a value deal I would probably look elsewhere.

The place is pretty uninviting with all the prohibition signs and the security guard following you everywhere.
The market has quality items though.
    Light should be improved.

It‘s nicely situated in the center, but you can get the same stuff cheaper at the mercado de artesanias

    Souvenir shops, take note.
Fantastic, colourful layout with a great atmosphere. It's amazing what happens when you're not pressured the moment you stop to look at something. You're free to browse, pick things up, and take your time without anyone hovering or pushing for a sale. The range of local handmade gifts is extensive and genuinely impressive. It stood out as a gift shop I’ll actually remember and recommend, which isn’t something I ever thought I’d say.

To flee!!!! We went to this store to look at the souvenirs, I saw a sugar bowl I turned it over to see the price below and the sugar bowl hat slipped from my hands and fell on the shelf barely 5 cm, so a little noise but more fear than harm, nothing is broken, no visible defect, the saleswoman came to me and found a micro detail which is present on each item because it is handwork, nothing is perfect and made me pay for this sugar bowl!! Attached are the photos! Tourist catcher!!
